What is the risk of the GM products?
Eversince the GM tomato firstly emerged in the market in 1994, the furious controversies have never stopped in the world. The arguments roughly attribute to three main points—the security for the human’s health, the destruction to the nature and the contravention with the ethic. The appearance of GM products is only 15-16 years, and their side-effects are not able to be rapidly revealed in such short period, so we still can not predict their security. But some countries’ scientists have warned people that some GM food can possibly cause the allergy. Moreover, the further concerns about the impact of the GM products are focusing on the issues which will threaten our environment of survival, such as the sharp decrease of the diversity of species, super-weeds and super-insects, and so on. In addition, the traditional ethic is being toppled down because the confines between the breast and the human have been breached by the research of the GM animals, for example, in Asresaerch (NZ)’s project, the genes of human proteins are being transfered into the cows in the trials.
Are the GM products the evil spirits escaped from the Pandora’s Box which one carelessly opened? Who knows? Probably, the answer will be exposed in our next two generations.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you've broken your blog up in to different postings. I find it easier to read and therefore more interesting. I also like the fact that you have used alot of facts throughout you blog. It makes it more believable and convincing for your side of the arguement, by backing it up.
I also like the fact how you have used pictures. This will help visual learners understand your point of view. Overall I really liked your blog :)
Wow, I must say this is really a neat blog you have here!
ReplyDeletepictures- grate!
video - even grater!
Sorry that I haven't had time to look through your work earlier, but it seems like you don't really need my help anyway! :-P
I like the way you wrote this one! really.
mhm... my own opinion...
well, as long as it concerns basically crops I am fine with it. as you pointed out, we still don't know what side effects the products could have but with careful handling and no excessive use of these GM foods we can figure out the right way.
i am not too happy about animals being modified. many breeds already have to suffer for us humans: cows with too huge udders, sheep with wool so thick they even get hot in winter... all this kind of problems. if we modify their genes artificially the process can be sped up and not everyone thinks in the interest of the animals.
I'm so happy to hear from your encouragement. Thank you! you always give me a big help. AS far the welfare of GM animals concerned , I have to tell you a bad news (I'm not sure wether you've known or not),the GM cows mentioned in my blog 3 out of 4 have died for the oversize uterus, very sad!
